Carpal tunnel-type symptoms

Hand tingling, numbness, or weakness can have several causes. A clinician should evaluate possible carpal tunnel syndrome, especially if symptoms persist or worsen. Massage does not diagnose or decompress a nerve.

What to know

How assessment-based massage may fit

If you have a diagnosis and are exploring supportive care, we can discuss what is comfortable and within scope. Ongoing numbness, loss of grip, or progressive weakness deserves timely medical assessment.

Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or urgent care. If you have new, severe, worsening, or concerning symptoms, consult an appropriate healthcare professional.

These peer-reviewed articles are selected for relevance, not as proof of a guaranteed result. Some investigate broader manual therapy rather than massage specifically. Study quality, techniques, comparison groups, and individual circumstances affect how findings apply.
